OVERVIEW
Chapter 7 is about energy and metabolism. We
will discuss in this chapter an all important
molecule called ATP that acts as an energy
carrier. In the picture above is a yeast called
Saccharomyces. The yeast cells are doing a process
called budding to reproduce. This is the most
common yeast used to make bread and alcohol
products such as beer and wine.
