OVERVIEW
Chapter 6 is about the requirements bacteria
have to stay alive and be successful. We will be
discussing the needs of bacteria in regards to
osmosis and pH. Pictured above is a bacterium
called Helicobacter pylori. This bacterium hangs
out in the digestive tract and can easily survive
stomach acid. It causes most stomach ulcers and
can cause stomach cancer.
