My favorite satirical comedian would be Dave Chappelle. I think that with most satirical comedians the goal is to joke about something that you are able to connect to. Politicians tend to come up with these comedians because we hear about the good and bad they do quite often. I think that the style of comedy may have become popular due to its ability to lighten up current situations. The comedian's goals may also be to challenge the views of others by presenting information in a more palatable fashion.
