Religion has always been a part of my life albeit until recently I didn't associate myself with it. In part because I think the reason was two things during those times. First was the fact that I didn't really feel as if I needed to depend on or look to a greater power such as god for guidance. My household now and even back then isn't very much out about religion. Obviously not because we despise it or something but just never got into the topic. Another reason was because many kids back in middle school would make fun of me for a mistake and would constantly try to force their beliefs on me. Looking back now I understand that they just wanted the best for me and Im eternally grateful for them.
I do love how you branched out and decided to devote your life to God. This is a missing piece that many people never find.
I like that you didn't let your family's ways stop you from exploring !
