As Christians we are called upon by God to spread his word and try to bring others to him. So what a good Christian parent would do is raise their children in church. Although that may seem like forcing it upon them it really isn't. Leaving your small children at home while you are going to celebrate and worship the Lord and Savior would just simply be idiotic. However, when they get older it is their choice, but it could be argued that you still have a very strong influence on your kids as the parent. I know from the outside looking in on Christianity it could seem like we are "bible thumping", when we really just do not want to see a single person burning in Hell for eternity after we die.
