I have been forced to listen to someone's story even though I did not want to. I was in a talking stage with this individual about two months ago. He never cared to inquire about me and would only ever speak about himself. He explained to me why he was the way he was on this specific day. I initially did not care because I assumed it was all for show. I listened in as he continued with some insightful insights. It almost seemed too wonderful to be a deception. As I listened to the rest of the story, I came to the conclusion that he was not exaggerating and that he had experienced significant trauma as a child.
