As I read Tartuffe, I was lead to believe that Orgon had a similar personality to mine. He was easily persuaded and gullible. He was tricked by Tartuffe. Tartuffe made Orgon think his son was lying, because everyone already thought Tartuffe was perfect. Luckily, Orgon figured out later that Tartuffe was far from perfect.
I think I am most like Orgon because he trusted very quickly, and was lead astray. I have run in to this problem many times in my life, and a lot of the time it was my friends or people I was very close to. He was also very gullible and believed peoples lies and tricks as well. I believe that I fall in to that category with him because I want to believe people more than I know I should. That tends to get me in some trouble at times as well with them, however.
