Orgon is a person a feel I see a lot in life. Orgon was a fool and it was easily tricked by Tartuffe in the play. A lot of people in life are fools, they will try and give you advice. The issue is they are fools so listening to them will get you in bad places. Orgon nearly destroyed his family. The obsessional devotion of Orgon is the first factor in Tartuffe's ability to control him. He bought into the lie that Tartuffe was a hypocrite who pretended to be a devout follower of religion but was actually pious. You see you cannot be a fool like Orgon and follow the words of just anyone. You must think for yourself.
