This course is designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology.
This course focuses on the study of the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from conception through adolescence. Individual differences and developmental issues as they relate to all areas of the child's life will be emphasized including those with special needs.
