        Course Purpose

        Prepare students to successfully meet Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA2) Mathematics college-readiness standards through guided instruction, practice, diagnostics, and test-taking strategies. The course should help students understand the test, diagnose weaknesses, master each content area, and build confidence through repeated practice. 

        TSIA2 Math Prep Course Learning Outcomes

        Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

        1. Demonstrate readiness for the TSIA2 Mathematics Assessment by applying effective test-taking strategies and interpreting TSIA2 score reports
        2. Solve quantitative reasoning problems involving fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, and numerical relationships.
        3. Apply algebraic reasoning skills to simplify expressions, solve equations, analyze functions, and model real-world situations.
        4. Use geometric and spatial reasoning to solve problems involving measurement, area, volume, transformations, and right-triangle trigonometry.
        5. Interpret and analyze statistical data and probability models to make informed mathematical decisions.
