Middle Adulthood Overview
Overview
Middle Adulthood is the time of the lifespan that occurs between early/emerging adulthood and late adulthood. This time is approximately between 40-45 and 60-65. There are few changes that occur cognitively, however, there are many physical and socioemotional changes. Physical changes occur because of primary and secondary aging. Socioemotional changes are characterized by Erikson's Generativity versus Stagnation Stage.
