The purpose of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program at Texarkana College is to provide a curriculum that produces an EMT who functions in the role of member of the profession, provider of patient-centered care, patient-safety advocate, and member of the healthcare team. Attainment of the program objectives by the EMT demonstrates effectiveness.
