World Literature I (3,3,0). A survey of world literature from the ancient world through the sixteenth century. Students will study works of prose, poetry, drama, and fiction in relation to their historical and cultural contexts. Texts will be selected from a diverse group of authors and traditions. Prerequisite: Students taking this course must have satisfactorily completed both semesters of Composition I & II, ENGL 1301 and 1302, or the equivalent from another college or university and successful completion of the reading portion of the TSI test.
